Honda has unveiled the latest iteration of its popular compact SUV, the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid, introducing a rugged new TrailSport trim and a host of technology upgrades across the lineup. This sixth-generation CR-V Hybrid builds upon its reputation for fuel efficiency and practicality with added versatility and a more premium interior experience.

Headlining the changes for the 2026 model year is the introduction of the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid. This new trim level caters to adventurous buyers with a more aggressive exterior design, including standard all-wheel drive, and likely a uniquely tuned suspension for improved capability on unpaved roads.

Under the hood, the 2026 CR-V Hybrid continues to be powered by a sophisticated and efficient 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. This combination delivers a total system output of 204 horsepower, providing brisk acceleration and responsive performance. Fuel economy figures are expected to remain a key selling point, though official ratings for the 2026 model have not yet been released.

Inside, all 2026 CR-V Hybrid models now come standard with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a significant upgrade from the previous standard screen. Furthermore, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across all trims, offering seamless smartphone integration. A wireless charging pad also becomes a standard convenience feature. Pricing for the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid in Canada has been announced, starting at approximately $49,032 for the Sport Hybrid and rising to $54,332 for the Touring Hybrid. The new TrailSport Hybrid is priced at around $50,432. Prospective buyers in Brampton, Ontario, and across Canada can expect the 2026 models to arrive in Honda dealerships in the near future.
