The Chrysler 300 as we knew it (the "L-series" sedan) officially ended production in December 2023. However, its successor is currently being developed on the **STLA Large** platform—the same "multi-energy" architecture used for the new 2024/2025 Dodge Charger.

While Chrysler has been relatively quiet compared to Dodge, here is the current status of the 300's successor on the STLA platform:

### 1. The "Multi-Energy" Strategy

Following the lead of the new Dodge Charger, the next Chrysler sedan will likely not be electric-only. Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell recently confirmed a shift toward a **multi-energy strategy**. This means the STLA Large platform will allow for:

The STLA will be used for several vehicles such as the 300 and the various Charger models. It could be used for entertaining cross over vehicles also with new model offerings. The Genesis Gran Equator SUV and the Genesis line in general could use some American domestic competition.  Stelantis is an agile company with various design philosophies impacting numerous brands.  Why not start a luxury  brand called Stelantis?  You heard it here first at Auto Work™ Automotive Television with Warren Lyon; the cool and friendly dude.

* **Full BEV (Battery Electric):** Expected to feature 800V architecture and potential ranges of up to 500 miles.

* **ICE / Hybrid:** Likely utilizing the **3.0L "Hurricane" Twin-Turbo Inline-Six** engine (the "Sixpack"), providing a gasoline-powered bridge for those not ready for a full EV.

### 2. Design Inspiration: The Halcyon Concept

In early 2024, Chrysler unveiled the **Halcyon Concept**. While the concept is futuristic (with butterfly doors and Level 4 autonomy), it serves as the design blueprint for the new 300.

* **Look:** A departure from the "brick-like" 300 profile, moving toward a sleek, aerodynamic "four-door coupe" or fastback silhouette.

* **Interior:** Will feature the **STLA SmartCockpit** and **STLA Brain**, focusing on sustainable materials and massive, integrated screens.

### 3. Key Specifications (STLA Large)

Because it shares the platform with the Dodge Charger, we can expect similar performance benchmarks:

| Feature | Estimated Specs |

| :--- | :--- |

| **Platform** | STLA Large (BEV-native but ICE-capable) |

| **Powertrain** | Dual-motor AWD (Electric) or Hurricane I-6 (Gas) |

| **Electric Range** | Up to 500 miles (800 km) |

| **Charging** | 800-volt system (potential for 40 miles of range per minute) |

| **Performance** | Potential for 0–60 mph in the 3-second range for high-output models |

### 4. Timeline

* **2024–2025:** Chrysler is focused on launching a new electric crossover (likely based on the Airflow concept).

* **2026–2027:** The 300 successor is expected to be officially revealed or enter production.

* **2028:** Chrysler aims to have a fully electrified portfolio, though "multi-energy" options may persist depending on market demand.

> **Note:** There is some internal debate at Stellantis regarding the name. While many expect the "300" nameplate to return due to its heritage, Chrysler may choose a new name to signal a total brand "reboot."
