The truth is the battery plug-in vehicle is one large battery in itself. The entire vehicle is a battery and if you are familiar with the nature of electric power out in the elements with unusual power surges, changes in weather and polarities in the earth's surface, then you know your $200.00 battery can fail and so, in the same way, an entire vehicle that is essentially a battery can just fail also. Notice also that the car that your family relies on is now dependent on the notion of reliable electricity grids every where you go but sometimes, we do have power failures; sometimes. I think I will have the fuel cell vehicle or the propane powered internal combustion engine. The hybrid with regenerative power and the internal combustion engine to drive the power train is also a genius vehicle idea but the fuel cell will WIN, in the end, if it is about pure, reliable consistent and ready, refillable super clean electric power with a lower overall environmental foot print as the batteries in the electric vehicle carry a lot of cadmium that is not immediately recyclable. The totally regenerative (no plug) vehicle adventure will continue and can be a great joy in city environments where you may be within 1 hour of your home for most journeys but, for long 2 or 3 hour journeys, it is best that you think of the other fuel and power systems.
