There was a 1977 special consumer report from Toyota that confirmed vehicle efficiency was the most important aspect to the consumer buyer when purchasing a vehicle. This is true and has borne itself out time and time again as efficiency in fuel and cost of maintenance is more important to the buyer then Corinthian leather. What is that any way? Toyota may have received a leaked copy of this report and followed it; verbatim. They now have the command of at least 30% of the European car buying market with their commitment to Efficiency as seen in the regenerative hybrid in the last major move toward internal combustion engine efficiency and they also made a global foot hold in the late '70s with their more efficient four cylinder models for the American car buyer although they used cheap paint and metal initially that tended to rust more easily than the average American model and this kept car buyers hesitant although they like the idea of a Celica or Crown or a Toyota Pick up truck ; very popular indeed. It's evident that almost every Ford pick up is really a Toyota these days any way. If its about regenerative zero refueling technology, then VOLKSWAGEN is the leader right now with the ID series of vehicles but they may still be behind its competitors with market share as maybe refueling is like a bad habit; like smoking. The day is now upon us that even regular large ocean going vessels are now all powered by fuel cells with electric generators since oil and diesel for propulsion is just pointless next to the clean certainty of electric generators and motors as powered by fuel cells. The average US NAVY Aircraft carrier is powered by 400 years of old and new propulsion technology that is not in sync with the word "efficiency". It is powered by nuclear reactors that boil water to create steam to power a generator that makes electricity to power an electric motor. Our idea is to take the ocean water and extract "hydrogen" from it maybe by turning it into a gas or steam that will be piped as a gas into the fuel cell to power a fuel cell that will then power the electric propellor with the electric motor built in. The only war we face is against ignorance and in combatting inefficiency in preserving our lives when the real war is a war of economic attrition. The nuclear ship is poison to our oceans as it may belch out nuclear water in its operation as a by product of its operation, killing wild life. Ocean water quality cannot wait. So, the hybrid fuel cell wins as the most reliable and time efficient electric vehicle with regenerative breaking and on board self charging via the fuel cell that is actually producing its own electricity from the process that uses hydrogen gas with the fuel cell on board. This is so that you do not need any recharging; and wouldn't this be the most reliable and efficient thing in the entire world? You refuel once a month really. We could add solar voltaic cells on roofs but in any event, its the reliability factor in the electric world when there is such a large electric motor. We are still nervous about rain and electricity and how that could impact a vehicle with large batteries that take up the entire length of the vehicle floor. Add to this the electric motor but it seems we have enough experience with this technology in transit operations in cases involving bad weather. The Fisker Ocean looks good. It looks like it would win you respect at the golf course. We could also resurrect old WW1 German tank technology that ran on a fuel free fly wheel technology and then super suave birth a machine with ergonomic Ital design or Scandinavian design for the modern era and call it a Saab or a PoleStar. The Polestar also looks like the culturally intelligent timeless home furnishings and appliances; but for the road. What is the most reliable and efficient type of electric vehicle? This is a question? Maybe yours needs no fuel at all like that old German tank. Its totally regenerative then; you have small fly wheel technology in automatic watches or large fly wheel technology at the dam power stations. This could be the VW ID 3, 4, and 5; totally electric. It is. I am. But, right now it seems the Toyota Mirai, Tesla and the Taycan have figured out the reliability factor in providing consumers the Fuel cell electric vehicle that still has a plug in function for those determined to plug the thing in. Refueling of the fuel cell with hydrogen is taken care of at the Tesla dealership or Porsche dealership at the moment and once a month. The Hyundai hydrogen Ioniq vehicles are refilled at the dealerships also. There is a network of hydrogen stations also but only the Mirai and a few other vehicles are designed to use these filling stations. This beats 5 hours of drive time on a battery only plug in vehicle that might require overnight recharging that takes 8 hours or more. These electric vehicles have electric motors. We are thinking about the environmental cost that large batteries represent and maybe we could recycle them. Either way, charging a vehicle with an air molecule/hydrogen/ propane is God. We are focusing on keeping electric motors powered with electricity; we are not focused on plugging some heavy cow sized dongle thingy into a socket; if that is what is going on. Click here.
